At the Munich airport, Rental Car Agencies and rental cars are located inside the airport. At the rental car desk, you may obtain a map.
When exiting the Car Rental Center follow the signs to Autobahn (Freeway) A92, Richtung (towards) Deggendorf. You'll see the signs immediately. Access the freeway and travel to Deggendorf (direction NE for approx. 114 km).
Exit the freeway in Deggendorf and enter Bundesstrasse (Highway) E53 going north.
In the village of Patersdorf (approx. 18 km from Deggendorf), turn left when you see a sign leading to Cham. This will take you to Bundesstrasse 85 which travels in a northwesterly direction towards Chamerau (approx. 33 km from Patersdorf).
As you travel along on the B85, about 7 km before you get to Chamerau you will notice the town of Miltach on your right. Stay on the B85 until you see the sign "Chamerau". Exit the B85 to your right. You can see a gas station on the street leading into Chamerau. The village of Chamerau is divided by the Regen river. Enter Chamerau and notice the church on your left. The Bavarian Interlude Chalet is on the other side of the river. Drive over the bridge and across the railroad tracks. Turn right at Bahnhofstrasse, the first street immediately after the railroad crossing. Drive along Bahnhofstrasse and continue when it does not go straight anymore but turns to the left and goes uphill. Two houses and a farm can now be seen. Go to the second house. You have arrived. Welcome!
In Chamerau look for three Bavarian Interlude direction signs. The first sign is by the bridge on your right und two more signs are on the Bahnhofstrasse.

*There are many different routes to drive from the Munich airport to Chamerau. The one described is somewhat longer but easy to follow. If you decide to follow a different route (use the B20, for example) and come from the direction Cham instead of Kötzting, as described above, make sure you follow the direction signs to Kötzting to find Chamerau.
